<description>WWW and HTML: The papyrus and script of Cyber Age
Sreekumar, M.G.; Pathak, Ashok
Although the Internet an its array of services have revolutionised the world of information both in the areas of dissemination as well as seeking behaviour, this technology is yet to be properly exploited by the Librarians and Information Professionals in India. In this study, the authors present a case of creating a Web Site of the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode and also publishing and publicising the site in the Internet. The immense potential of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)in the dissemination of information services is discussed.

<description>Web Authoring: A 'Must' Skill for the Information professionals at the Dawn of the New Millennium.
Sreekumar, M.G.; Bavakutty, M.*
The explosive growth of the internet and the World Wide Web (WWWW) in recent years has impact on almost every field of human activity while its effect on librarianship is more intensive owing to the information component attached to the professionals. For the first time in history, the WWW with its suite of standards and respective technologies made significant strides in the field of information transfer and knowledge management by liberating the basic static nature of the ordinary text, making it dynamic and powerful. The Web has opened up a new school of thought, the hypertext world, with its unquestioned ability in distributed computing on a global scale. The purpose of this paper is to give information professionals a sense of what is unique about the design of Web Pages on the WWW and an indication in general terms of what types of information and materials can be disseminated through this medium. It describes the very need for a Site, its unlimited scope, opportunities and impl...

<title>A Unified Dynamic Model Formulation for Robotic Manipulator Systems</title>
<link>http://dspace.iimk.ac.in:80/xmlui/handle/2259/277</link>
<description>A Unified Dynamic Model Formulation for Robotic Manipulator Systems
Swain, Anjan Kumar; Morris, Alan S.*
This paper addresses the problem of formulation of a unified dynamic model for sundry robotic manipulator systems derived from the first principle of mechanics instead of the existing formulation based on linear separability principle. It provides a systematic derivation, evaluation and subsequent conceptual interpretation of manipulator dynamics model. Further, it analyzes the generality of the unified model over a wide range of manipulator configurations. In addition, it describes the implementation aspects of the unified model.
